The new Gen 2 Brompton adapter is designed for folding, it integrates seamlessly with the Brompton  mechanism and can remain attached when the bike is folded.

 

RE-CYCLE your Swytch e-bike with a new battery! Our kit allows you to use a replacement 36V battery from a third party (if your original is dead or a different battery capacity is preferred to increase range). The three-piece, 3D-printed case kit houses the original user control pad and motor controller, utilising the original handlebar-mounted connector, original Swytch wiring and motor.

  • Supplied cases are in BLACK PETG-CF plastic (PETG + 10% carbon fibre). The bike conversion remains fully legal in the UK since its maximum 15.5 mph speed and 250W motor power do not change and all original Swytch parts are re-purposed. The kit parts are 3D printed, so exhibit 'layer lines' on the surface, shown on the photographs. The lines result from the manufacturing process and are not a fault.
  • The original Swytch case did offer some degree of water resistance, and this kit will need sealant applied if it is to be used in wet weather to mitigate against water ingress.
  • If your bike doesn't work currently, please check that it is the battery that is dead and not a failure of another component, as this kit will not help restore life. Please use a reputable 36V battery for the conversion, which has battery management (BMS), and make 100% sure the polarity is correct before connecting a new battery.
  • NOTE! This is not a Swytch Technology Ltd product, it is not endorsed by the company, and there is no connection with the company or its affiliates.
  • This kit is only for the original 'handbag' version of Swytch shown in the photos (NOT Swytch's newer GO/AIR variant). Please note that the conversion does require enough DIY ability to extract the controller from the 'handbag' case and re-connect to a new external 36V battery. The unit is supplied with a XT60 battery connectors only, NO BATTERY is supplied.
  • The kit consists of two 3D-printed parts (front and back casing, with threaded inserts and screws), an additional contoller support plate and a cable gland. The other components in the photos are shown to help explain the construction, so these parts and the battery are not included in the package. The Swytch parts must be salvaged from the original 'handbag' case.
  • The position for mouting the battery will depend on the bike and battery type. In most cases, the handling of the bike is improved by elminating the weight of the battery swinging around on the handlebars and positioning it on the fixed frame and lower to the ground.
